31 marzo Performance With Elias Chinese OrchestraIts was a Saturday evening and I went to join the Chinese Orchestra there with Yeng Ling for a performance at the CC itself. It was a Chinese cultural dinner so saw a lot of aunty and Ah ma there. Well actually we went back for practice on Friday never knew that there was a performance at the following day. It was because the instrument I play called (sheng) is the only one there some more got 1 part solo in one of the song that's why they allow me to perform. It was definitely quite rush to catch up their standard as I'm not very pro, so have to practice a lot of times. On the performance day, my pants zip were spoilt, Damm! so unlucky. I knew Jun Guang and Yeng Ling treat it as a hysterical joke when I told them. No choice, so have to go back home to change another pair but luckily my house is near. We perform 2 songs (Ju Huai Tai) and (Madala). The performance went smoothly and I really enjoy myself very much that day. Thanks Yeng Ling for the company and thanks Jun Guang for the support!
09 marzo Chinese Orchestra Performance at Pasir RisOn 2 March I went to back to my Chinese Orchestra to join them for a chinese culture performance at the Pasir Ris East community centre . Well the performances did went smoothly except the cello solo. Well, I do pity them. They should have sit in front and also must be given a mic, Because the sound was too soft to be heard by the audience furthermore they were sitting right behind so tell me how could the audience see and listen to them play. I must say "bad arrangement"! It sound more like a interlude to me rather than a section solo. Well after the performances we have a photo session and these are the photos taken on that day!

Thanks to Yeng Ling for asking me back to perform with you guys again. If you people remember, 2 march is the date we perform at the Marina Square last year. Think I'm going to remember this date forever. 29 febbraio I Miss my Best FriendWell its has been 1 week plus since the day my best friend Anna went to australia for her studies at a university. I Still remember the night when she left! Me and Gladys never use any tissue papers at the airport (Ha ha wrong prediction) but I admit I cried when I get back home not like Jia jia cry on the spot (so embarrasing only she cry). I do wonder Gladys got cry a not. "Oh best friend", I miss you so much! Wonder when you leave who will listen to my problems and console me when I'm feeling down. Think I have to quickly find a job and earn some money so I can fly over to australia to see you in July along with Gladys. You must take care of yourself ok? Hope you are not getting too much homesick! And also please don't date any Ang Mo! Gladys did look after me vice versa I'll monitor her also! Ha Ha I believe we will meet soon.

Back To BloggingIts been 5 months since my last blog entry. Today is the 29 Feb 2008. Wow its a special day because this date only appears in the calender once every 4 years. Wonder how the calender goes? Does anybody know any history about how the calender goes or was created? I know It is something to do with the earth going around the sun which takes 365 days to complete the cycle. But the question is why 29 Feb only once every 4 years? Is the dates in the calender planned by someone? Looks like I'm pretty curious about such things! 21 agosto New Work FriendWell, Its been some time since I've updated my blog.
Firstly I got a job In a rubber factory, Working in the office managing files and papers! The pay is fine, at least I've got few bucks to spent. (Better than selling ice-cream). At work I met a china friend. Lots to share about and as time goes by we begin to be very close friends. His name is Xin long. He totally change my perception of china people. He is understanding, polite and discipline! He works in the store and I work in the office. Even we work in different place but we still meet up for lunch everyday ! 16 giugno My Ice-cream part time jobAfter graduated from nursing, staying at home is kind of bored. So I want to take up some job to earn some cash to spend. Through flipping the newspaper ad. Then I saw the advertisement about selling ice-cream as a part time job. So I call and went for the training! Well, my impression at first was okay but just a little worried about how much am I going to earn. Myfirst few day results was good but when days go by, my sales get lesser and lesser. Then my supervisor said I never sell correctly and don't know how to introduce the package. But seriously that day was really a piss. Most of the resident don't even come to the door then how do I promote? Somemore the blocks that I was allocated was near mini mart and supermarket. Tell me how am I suppose to get sales like that? Damm it, He still can tell me those blocks he allocate me always have good sales,what a Crap! On top of it, the ice-cream prices that he want us to sell is much more expensive compare to the prices of other supermarket. Promotion still sell so expensive, then tell me how am I going to sell? I really wonder why other students can sell so much but I can't, maybe this is really not my kind of job.Well, I've work for 2 weeks and finally quit because this is simply not the kind of job I want. Have to lie and beg people to buy, Horrible! Money is really hard to earn! I'm really sick and tired of rejection and stupid reasons! I'll treat this as an experience better than telling people that I never work before! Thanks shun ming to tag with me at the last day (The crazy men who knock the door himself and shout "who is that" sure gone case one, what a shock of the day!). To my friends there" happy selling". 01 giugno Student Achiever's Award CeromonyOn the 30 of May, I Went back to school in the morning to receive my CCA award. I Represent my Chinese Orchestra to receive the award. I'm quite glad with myself cause I'm the first from CO to receive the award. This shows that hard work do pay. So wake up in the morning. Went to school actually wanting to find rachel at stadium but she'd not there so I went to find yen ling instead at cafe 1 since her PE lesson is cancel. Chat with her for a while then I went up to the auditorium and register. So sad the seating arrangement is already set and they already allocate our seats. I thought it would be a boring ceremony. Then Christina who I know from nursing came. She sat beside me and we started talking. The ceromony is as boring as the my graduation ceremony last week, watching hundreds of students one by one going up the stage to receive the award and it was so boring. The award is just a cert and a fake gold medal. The funniest part is that when it is my turn to go up on stage, the principal keep emphasizing about holding the medal properly. Some more he say it on stage, its was so funny. I believe the people below can anticipate what he means. I heard one of the recipient drop the medal on stage thats is the reason why he keep emphasizing. I pity that person who drop the medal, he/she sure very embarrass one. After the ceremony, I waited for christina and meet up with rachel together for lunch. Christina is such a good motivator, She keep giving advises to rachel when she found out that rachel has a hard time with her studies. After lunch, rachel had to go for lesson and i have to wait until 5pm for my CO practice. So me and christina stay put in the cafeteria to chat. We chatted for 3 hours non-stop and there is so many topics to talk about. She is really my role model after I know her better from the conversation when she told me about her story. She taught me a lot of things in life that I never realised. I really want to salute her. I think I found myself another big sister. She invited me and rachel to her house warming and I'm really looking forward to see her. just don't know why. She really brighten my thoughts of life. I was so inspire by her. I think our friendship has just started. 25 maggio My Graduation DayYesterday 24 May, went back to school to attend a graduation ceremony. Went there by cab with my parents. As usual I will find Anna and friends. We settle down at the cafeteria till all the friends came then we'll go up and register. Never meet for about 3 months already but the feelings of our friendship is still there. So went up to the auditorium and settle down. Watch some videos of our graduating batch,. Then its time where the students go up one by one on stage to receive red folder and get a chance to take photo with the director of the school for memory. waited so long before my turn and it is really boring. I look around and realised so many students and my friends were all in their respective nursing uniforms. So many of them are working already! Me still at home slacking and play games. Regarding my dress code yesterday, they say I look good with my tie on. Next week I am receiving another award, maybe i can wear the same thing again. After the ceremony I went to collect my certificate and my stage photograph. So unlucky my photograph was printed blur and they have to reprint it again. I was wondering why others photo was so clear and only mine like shit, can't even see the face. Waited for a long time, then they manage to reprint one clear one for me. Make my parents waited for me so long. Well this should be the last day we gather together, every body will be going separate ways then. Just wanna thanks all my nursing friends and lecturers, this 2 years is really a good memory for me, thanks and I'll miss all of you. (All the best!!!) 02 maggio This moment of my lifeI question myself why am I in this state? Many reason has put me into this. After the emotional torture of not getting in a single course that I interested in, I was in fact devastated. I've tried my best in obtaining a chance to progress myself. I can't blame on them for not taking me in, but before I point finger, I should reflect why I don't work hard for it. For this whole month I've been really thinking about my future, how can I progress to a better job. After all the unsuccessful application I receive, I can't sleep well and feel restless all the time. I seldom go out. Even if I did, I always pretend that I'm fine but actually I'm not deep inside. I feel that I spend too much time in CO and neglected my studies. I loss my interest in everything, just want to stay at home and slack. I've made a decision in not going to CO anymore as there's nothing left for me. I've step down, and I believe my commitment for CO is more than enough. To all my friends, I really want to start afresh in my life.Our days will be memories but this must come to an end. 09 marzo My Chinese Orchestra Performance at Marina SquareOn the 2 march , my chinese Orchestra performed at the marina square. At first we thought we are performing at the atruim of the shopping centre where there is more crowd, never thought is the area near the brigde. Well, we put alot of effort for this performance as to show the bishan chinese orchestra that we are much more better then them, indeed we did oustand them. We are able to perform when there's no conductor around. This already prove how high our level is. The thing I like most is the orchestra really look good in the red blazers. I have no regrets loaning the blazers as it really project and enhance a better sight of the orchestra. We did well for that performances, everybody is enjoyable and happy. Even though it is not a major performance but I feel very happy that day and its like the happiest day in my life. Maybe its really satisfying to see an orchestra grown up. Well I did my best as a chairman, I can leave with no regrets if I can't continue my higher Nitec courses. Thanks to everybody who make this performance come true! 20 gennaio New Chinese Orchestra MembersLast wednesday, I thought only 1 or 2 new members will join but surprisingly 6 new members came. I won't say its a lot of new members but I can see the differences in CO. The attendance for that day was 20 and it is the highest attendance for CO in history! Normally we are like only around 10 members each practice, and when comes to performance we have to invite outside people to help us out . I really think is a disgrace! And I'm always have a pessimistic view about CO in the past as I think is really hopeless when I give in my all! Now it has totally change my point of view, and which I don't know why? Suddenly there's this feeling that came upon me telling me that CO will succeed soon! I felt victory but I have to be realistic to myself. I promise that as long as I'm leading CO, I'll will not let it go down like that! Now I'm ready to give in my all for CO and I hope each and every members will put in the same amount of effort as me in practicing too. We need to show our rival how capable we are as a united Orchestra! To my fellow CO friends: I may not be a leader with good leadership but I can tell You guys that I have given my 100% to CO. Some people may think its just only a performances why must I work so hard for it? But to me its a test in life. If I can't handle minor things like this then how can I deal with the problems in the future. I want an achievement in life, and I think by doing this i will succeed in the future and soar! Here's a message for my CO friends, I promise you guys you will feel fulfilling and satisfying on that particular night we perform, It will sure be kept as a beautiful memory for the rest of your life! 12 gennaio Attachment ComingCan't believe 1 month holiday ended so fast, have to start working next week. I'm not looking forward to it at all.... too enjoy with the time at home relaxing. Now I have to prepare for the worst because I'm making my trip to IMH and work there for 2 weeks. I have no idea about that place and wonder what will happen to me there? ( Better don't think too much) Hope I will enjoy my duration there. 11 gennaio My Recent FriendsWell, I'm writing all about my close friends and good friends here because I want you all know how much I do appreciate you guys!

To all my Chinese Orchestra friends, Nursing classmates, secondary/ primary school friends, Band friends, Attachment friends and POkemon friends: I do miss some of you whom I'm not contacting with anymore, but you guys do give me a very good memory up in my head !Thanks. I think it's quite nice to reflect on the things you've done in the past. Everyone should do some reflection also in some point of life. To those who hate or dislike me (only a few), you have just make me a stronger person! CCA OrientationOn that particular day, just went to set up tha store in the sports hall, then head to CEMTA and get ready to perform. We waited for an hour before our turn and by the time the crowd had already disperesd! Kind of dissapointing, furthermore I've make a lot of mistakes during the perfoamance. Well, at least we get some of the students recognise us and get to know that there is such CCA exist in the school. Our CCA store at the hall also didn't do well either, only a number of students sign up to join . I'm may be a bit dissapointing in the results but i'm glad that my fellow members/friends are more active in participating the events compared to the previous year. I really do appreciate their effort. Hopefully we can work hard together for the March performance and defeat our "rival" ( I'm cursing them everyday). 08 gennaio Making the BannerOn the 5th jan, I met up with Rachel, Lay Tian and Sin Yee to make the chinese orchestra banner for the coming CCA orientation. Well, firstly we went to buy the materials using my own money( see I so generous). Then we head to school and find a place to do our banner. The reason why i want to write about this is because on that particular i'm not feeling very well due to a bad flu. So throught out the process, I was sneezing and resting all the time without helping them. I do feel guilty for not helping much but its not that I'm lazy and I hope they understand that I'm not in a very good state to work. Well, I can really said the banner was very beautifully done and thanks very much for coming on a holiday to complete this thing. Lay Tian if you happen to see this, you have archive a grade A for art and not a 'just pass'. Thats the grading I'm giving you base on that day ! 31 dicembre Attend a Chinese Orchestra PerformanceWell, last night i went out to see a chinese Orchestra performance at kovan with Sin Yee, Lay Tian and Weng Fong. The Orchestra was conducted by our CO conductor so we went there and support. The Orchestra played fabulously well! Ying sian who is one of our CO friend played a solo piece and she played it really well untill the audience give her a very big round of applase. But she do looked quite serious and stressed up while playing her Gu zheng but at the end she did warm our hearts with a sweet smile. she is really good at it! Go Gal. There was one player who play the double bass was so distracted when the photographer stood next to him taking pictures. Maybe he was wondering why the photographer keep taking pictures of him and his blur look has got the 4 of us laughing! Their last song was fantastic, they have the whole crowd stood up and cheering for them plus some of them were shouting "encore". After the concert has finish, we went to have KFC for dinner. I was shocked by the amount of food Sin Yee is having (a cup of plain water and popcorn chicken medium). Somemore she still complain that she can't finish. Maybe she is having a very strict diet! Hope she succeed in slimming. Well, we chat and joke around on the way home and I was really exhasted when I got home. Really have fun hanging out with them, hope there is more opportunity in the future. The New FriendshipYesterday marks the new friendship between su and ann. The arguement is about the notes thing which causes a lot of problems among us. So the 3 of us plan to meet up to settle about the problems before the new year, and luckily it turns out fine! I was there as the middle person, cuz really don't know what will happen as they may turn out to fighting or something else (Spray water). To ease the pressure of the situation, i have to keep cracking my lame jokes which happen to make them laugh. Soon after a period of time, they both give in to each other and have things worked out. I'm so happy for them, hope they know I've go 2-sided way and help them patch back a friendship, wonder would I recieve any rewards? Just kidding! Well maybe we are fated to be friends thats why nothing can break us apart. Fab 4 reunited!!! 29 dicembre My Exam ResultsJust recieve my exam results not long ago. I'm not gonna reveal it here. Well...there is a slight improvement from the previous exam but it hasn't meet my expectation. So I have to work extremely hard for my next clinical posting, and hopefully I can get into higher nitec when I graduate. Chicken FantasticI'm a very big fan of Macdonald's chicken fantastic burger, if really want to count i've eaten more than 50 already since it first came out. One thing good about the chicken fantastic is that rice ia very frangrance and the chicken is crispy and juicy. Some people might not like it because it contains a lot of MSG and have high level of oil content. Not long ago, they have change the rice to normal plain rice patty. Eventhough its smaller and not as good as the one before, but it sure looks more healtier. I recommend all my friend to try it or else once they stop selling, i'll be craving for it for LIFE! 28 dicembre Chinese Orchestra upcoming perfomanceI'm a bit worried that my fellow CO members will not be present on the performances day on the 9 Jan, I've tried everything to call them back for practice, since they prefer not to come, what to do? Sometimes i really blame myself for being so useless. But luckily the presence of the (twins4) and friends, keep me working on! I'm also glad that jin kai is back, at least theres's still some hope in the orchestra! I'm so upset with J&J, they are both ex-leaders, but they won't not want to come back and help the orchestra when we are needy of members. Also can't blame them lah, they may have put it efforts before, and there are some negative factors which really make them don't feel like coming. Anyway that gary won't be coming already(waste my sms), really no Er hu. Kah wai has also left us, really miss her in CO. I'm using back the phamplets and the signboard she and zi yuan have made for the upcomming CCA orrientation. Here I thank her for her efforts in CO. Now my hope is really on the CCA orrientation, hopefully we can have 20 new members(miracle). Hope my fellow CO friends sees my views and my goals, and work hard together for this CCA orrientation. We are united aren't we? |
